At Woodmansterne, we value support from parents, carers and members of our local community. We are fortunate to have a committed, proactive team of volunteers and our children benefit from this in many ways.
If you want to know more about how you can help in school as a volunteer, please contact the school office for an application form which will give you more information.
All our regular volunteers in school must have a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Once the clear DBS check has been received by the school, prospective volunteers are invited for a meeting. Once a placement is agreed, there will be an induction which involves a tour around our school and a meeting with the designated safeguarding lead.
Our highly trained, skilled and motivated team are keen to share knowledge and skills with others. We support a number of local colleges, schools and universities for work experience placements.
If you would like to complete a work experience with us or would like us to consider you for a placement please contact for an application form. All placements are subject to an interview and DBS checks.
We receive many applications for volunteering and work experience and have several placements throughout the year. This means that, although we are always keen to encourage and place suitable applicants, we do not always have places available.
